Distiller’s Friday Roundup – April 16, 2021

April 16, 2021

For those of us who prefer to drink the brown stuff, there weren’t many new whiskeys released this week. However, there was one whiskey in particular that had our interests piqued: Stranahan’s Original. Released in celebration of the brand’s 15th anniversary, this American single malt is set to hit shelves this month. Stranahan’s Original is an update to the brand’s flagship whiskey and like its Blue Peak bottling, it features updated packaging as well.

However, if you’re a bit more open-minded and don’t mind partaking in other types of spirits, you’re in luck. Ready-to-drink cocktails from Bombay Sapphire and Tequila Cazadores were announced this week. Additionally, there were a couple of new vodka bottles releases as well including one made with both grain and apples. The weather is getting to that point where we can spend some time outdoors and soak up the sunlight, making these very timely releases.

And speaking of soaking up the sunlight, there was a new mezcal announced this week from Mezcal de Leyendas made with solar energy! How about that? You can find out more details about this release and more spirits news in Distiller’s Friday Roundup for April 16, 2021!
